Of all the San Diego wedding DJs, Megan and Kim chose me to DJ and MC their Cuvier Club/La Jolla Wedding Bowl mid-week wedding on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.
THE LOVE STORY
Megan & Kim met in February 2008. They became room-mates in 2010…while Megan waited patiently for Kim to fall in low with her! Together they enjoy trying new restaurants, going to concerts, “Netflix and chill,” attending sporting events, and adoring their cat, Phoebe. They are going to Maui for their honey moon.
On January 1, 2017, Megan & Kim took a road trip up the coast of California. Megan popped the question to Kim on the first day of the trip in Big Sur.
THE LA JOLLA WEDDING BOWL CEREMONY
Megan & Kim’s wedding party entered at this same-sex La Jolla Wedding Bowl ceremony to “I Only See You,” Benton Paul. The brides entered to “I’ll Follow You,” Jon McLaughlin. After their friend Stacy performed the ceremony, they exited to “White Dress,” Ben Rector.
THE CUVIER CLUB WEDDING RECEPTION
The Grand Entrance at Megan & Kim’s Cuvier Club wedding was to the extended version of “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).” Their First Dance was to “Perfect,” Ed Sheeran. After eating and champagne toasts, we did a group photo on the dance floor and then the brides went out to take sunset photos while the guests got the dance party going. Neither Kim nor Megan was too sure about doing parent dances…so during Open Dancing I played “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts and without announcing anything they both grabbed their respective parents for an informal parent dance.
