Who are the “San Diego Wedding Rock Stars?” Other San Diego wedding pros I’ve done weddings with here in the 619 (or nearby) that were awesome to work with, talented, friendly…you know, the kind of vendors you probably want for your wedding, right? Drum roll please…let me introduce you to Juliette Fagerwold from Simply Elegant Weddings. Don’t you love the idea of having someone named Juliette handling your wedding???
We actually met last year by chance, but we had our first chance to work together at Jennae & Kyle’s Bradford Ranch wedding. I don’t recommend tooooo many San Diego wedding coordinators because most of them tend to micromanage me, but Juliette recognized me as a fellow professional, which set the tone for a great event (thank you)! Plus, we are both mothers of beautiful, blond little girls 🙂

How did you start doing weddings?
Most of my close friends got married relatively young, so I was blessed to play the role of ‘helpful bridesmaid’ several times over, even before turning 25. I knew that I enjoyed weddings and helping out behind the scenes, but it wasn’t until after I was married myself, that I realized that I had a passion for organizing events and especially weddings. I love prep work, planning, details, design, set up, and even clean up. Combine that passion with my slightly OCD personality, I realized that I could expand this knowledge professionally, and that’s when everything fell into place! This is my calling, and I feel so blessed to have been able to grow my talents and help others in such a fun, uplifting way.
When you are not at a wedding on any given Saturday, what would you most likely be doing?
On non-wedding Saturdays that aren’t filled up with client meetings, I really enjoy being able to do mom things, like take my daughter to dance and soccer practice. Even though I get to spend so much time with her during the week, the organized fun stuff is on the weekends! I also enjoy going to baseball games as a family…Go Padres! A good bonfire on the beach with some S’mores! Or just staying home to binge watch HGTV all day!

Where have your weddings been published?
One of my weddings was featured on the front page of Style Me Pretty! We had an amazing team of vendors involved, and the design was perfect! My work has also been featured on San Diego Style Weddings, Grey Likes Weddings, and Wedding Lovely.
