Who are the “San Diego Event Rock Stars?” Other San Diego event pros I’ve done events with here in the 619 (or nearby) that were awesome to work with, talented, friendly…you know, the kind of vendors you probably want at your event, right? Drum roll please…let me introduce you to Beth Bennett from both Belly Up Tavern & Pacific Coast Grill, two amazing north county San Diego event venues. I first met Beth when I DJed a corporate holiday party at Pacific Coast Grill recently.
DJ Staci asked, and Belly Up/Pacific Coast Grill’s event coordinator answered…
How did you start doing events?
I started working in the box office of a concert venue downtown called 4th & B. I eventually started to assist the marketing and event manager until I learned the ropes!
When did Belly Up Tavern open?
1974
Most interesting thing that ever happened at Belly Up Tavern?
We had the Rolling Stones play a private event in 2016.
What is your professional background?
Bachelors degree. I have improved with experience, never taken a class on events 🙂
What makes Belly Up Tavern unique?
It’s independently owned and operated–very intimate yet books amazing talent. Cool So Cal vibe & not a bad seat in the house!
When you are not at an event on any given Saturday, what would you most likely be doing?
Something with my family. I have two boys ages 3 & 6.
What are your top event accomplishments you are most proud of?
In addition to the Rolling Stones concert, we also had a night with the Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett (plus Aloe Blacc to open).
