There was only one San Diego wedding DJ at Daniel & Antoinette’s wedding at San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park…and it was this lucky lady!
THE COOLEST COUPLE EVER
Wow! Where do I begin? Daniel & Antoinette have got to be one of the coolest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. The two things that stood out most to me were that 1) they had 600 wedding guests AND 2) their first kiss was at the altar after being pronounced husband & wife.
THE LOVE STORY
The majority of their relationship has been long distance since the graduated from pharmacy school. They met at a bowling alley with a group of college friends. Daniel thought Antoinette was out of his league because she was a little bit taller than him lol. Their first date was when Antoinette invited Daniel over to do an exercise tape (but mostly to see how tough he was!)
THE WEDDING AT SAN DIEGO AIR & SPACE MUSEUM
They got married earlier in the day on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at their church (yes, all 600 guests were invited & most attended). I was furiously busy trying to get speakers wirelessly connected around the atrium at the San Diego Air & Space Museum at that time, despite the groom inviting me. (If you can believe it, 4 hours of prep time was barely enough!)
The 16-person wedding party did a personalized Grand Entrance with fun little dances. Daniel & Antoinette entered to a standing ovation to Taylor Swift’s “Style.” They went straight into a First Dance/Combo Parent Dance to a song written, composed, & sang by Bridesmaid Vivian (called “Everything”). After dinner, toasts, & “cutting” the macaroon tower (cake), we kicked off dancing with a Longest Married Couple dance, which was won by Daniel’s grandparents who have been married over 50 years!
Major kudos to Debbie Au & her team from Hannah Smith Events for making the coordination of this massive wedding look effortless too! Check out this wedding at San Diego Air & Space Museum for yourself in the video above.
